Duplikat font bisa menjadi momok tersendiri bagi para pengguna komputer. Selain menghabiskan space di hard disk, juga bisa menghambat pencarian font yang diperlukan karena banyak font yang sama. Untungnya NexusFont menyediakan feature untuk mencari font duplikat dengan mudah. Tinggal pilih Tools > Find Duplicate Fonts, pilih folder font-nya dan klik Find. Setelah keluar list file yg duplikat, contreng file yang Anda ingin hapus dan klik Delete Selected File. Beres. Mudah dan Cepat. Tapi bagaimana Anda memilih mana yang sebaiknya dihapus dan mana yang sebaiknya jangan? Cara paling bagus adalah dengan mencek file-nya satu persatu, cek tanggal pembuatan, isi file font mana yg lebih lengkap, dll. Tapi itu akan memakan waktu yang sangat-sangat banyak.

Graphics Designer perlu macam-macam jenis huruf, dan itu banyak tersedia di Internet. Tapi tanpa sengaja, kita mengambil Jenis huruf (font) yang sama dengan font yang kita sudah miliki. Sedikit perbedaan penamaan file font membuat font itu dianggap font yang berbeda. Bagaimana cara kita menghapus font tersebut? Mudah. Dengan menggunakan font manager. Setelah mencari dan mencoba banyak font manager, akhirnya aku memutuskan untuk menggunakan Font Fitting Room Deluxe (FFR) di Windows XP. Sebuah font manager yang sangat bagus dan cocok buat aku. Kelebihan FFR adalah, Kita bisa organize beberapa font menjadi set-set tersendiri. Unicode, dalam artian FFR bisa memproses font asia, arabic, eropa, dll. Pencarian font mudah dan cepat dengan live preview. Sayangnya feature mencarian duplicate font di FFR kurang enak. Tapi karena kelebihan-kelebihan yang tadi itu sangat membantu, maka aku terus menggunakan FFR sampai akhirnya aku ganti komputer.

Nah kadang-kadang kita maen colok aja USB ke komputer mana aja, gawatnyah tuh virus bisa masuk, data bisa kesedot , atau ada org iseng yang pengen baca isi USB kita tanpa kita ketahui. Tenang kawan saya telah menyiapkan proteksi untuk USB dengan memberi password pada USB yang kita miliki, sehingga hanya kita sendiri yang bisa membuka USB tersebut. They make a pretty good defragmenter tool as well as a partition manager, Rescue software, Hard Drive Tools and Backup programs. Beberapa hari ini komputer aku menghadapi error yang parah. Error itu berjudul Generic Host process for win32 services error dan kalau diselidiki lebih dalam, menyebutkan error pada svchost.exe dan netapi32.dll . Reaksi pertama2 dari Luki mengatakan mungkin ini virus Conflicker, dan reaksi dari Willy juga mengatakan, kalau svchost error biasanya itu berarti kena virus. Pengecekan lebih lanjut menghasilkan penemuan bahwa benar, system windows aku ternyata terkena worm (bukan virus), namanya kurang jelas tuh, tapi comodo antivirus + firewall tidak mendeteksi worm ini .

It wasn’t long ago that I found just the program for which I was looking, a customizable application launcher that serves as an alternate Windows shell. That program is KidsMenu . I should back up for a moment and explain what the “shell” is. The shell is what allows a user to interact with the operating system. While we've seen plenty of Skype-capable apps on the iPhone, the poor, often echo-infected calls should be easily bested by the official Skype App that doesn't need the extra audio transcoding workaround required by the existing crop of unofficial apps. The Skype app works over WiFi only (not over EDGE or 3G data) and supports calls to SkypeOut contacts in addition to many of the other features you've used from the desktop client. iPod touch owners will require earphones with an embedded mic to talk. My writing is accessible from anywhere, is open to collaboration and sharing, is easy to import and export, and is just a better way to do work in this constantly connected world we increasingly live in. For a while now, my solution has been Google Docs . It’s a great service, and one that has served me well over the months and years I’ve been using it. Google Docs, though, is not without its issues and downsides, some of which have left me in constant search for the best and brightest of the online document managing application. Well, I haven’t found it yet, but I’ve found five pretty great alternatives to Google Docs that you might want to check out. All of these, and Google Docs, offer the same basic editing features; instead of rehashing them over and over, I’ll point out the one or few great features that put the application on this list.
