Tortoises (Testudinidae) or land turtles are a family of land-dwelling reptiles of the order of turtles (Testudines). They fight by attempt to flip the other one over ultimately killing them because the starve because they cant move. ( Answer.com ) Males fight for dominance by trying to flip each other onto their backs. In most fights, the smaller male runs away before either tortoise is flipped over. Males will share burrows
