Toaster Phone Doesn't Run on Butter

This Toaster Phone concept by Brazilian designer Renata Quintela is simple, cute, and it will probably make you look like a surrealist moron while using it, which is always a plus. We like the toaster charger and the fact that it comes with two sets, which we want to believe will communicate with each other, allowing Jason and Benny to play Loafman and his sidekick Buttermelter.

The latest Nokia and Samsung handsets look pretty cool, but one can’t help feeling that they all look the same. We need interesting stuff that peps up the atmosphere and the Toaster phone does exactly so. Renata Quintela, an industrial design student in Brazil who designed this phone has certainly got an appetite for funky phones. The Toast phone plugs into the Toaster unit for charging and pops up like a real hot bread when a call comes through.

Apparently, a concept, the phone(s) somewhat look like two pieces of bread. It looks very simple - more like a kid’s toy. The Toaster Phone appears to be wireless and the base unit is a toaster-looking device.
